Toronto-based singer/songwriter Tanya Philipovich has been described as “Freak Folk”. She is about to release her third album 'Paper Boat' this spring 2016 with Busted Flat Records. Her songs are poetically driven and melodically interesting. Getting her start in Vancouver, she began singing her songs in music venues and on outdoor stages at the age of fifteen and has continued with rigorous live performance ever since. 

Tanya released her last album titled ‘Secret Fiction Romance’ (2009), on Toronto indie label, ‘Doin’ Time Records’. It was recorded and produced by guitar man Dan Walsh.
